Why Home Visits Make Such a Difference
If your dog becomes excited during car rides, your cat disappears as soon as the carrier comes out, or your senior pet struggles to walk, a traditional trip to the veterinary clinic can be stressful before the consultation even begins.
At Briz-Vet, we believe veterinary care should begin with making your pet feel safe.
By examining your pet in familiar surroundings, we can often perform a calmer, more thorough consultation while allowing you and your pet to remain relaxed in your own home.
For many families, especially those with anxious cats, elderly dogs or multiple pets, home visits quickly become their preferred way to receive veterinary care.

Frequently Asked Questions
A standard home consultation is $125 and includes travel to your home, up to 30 minutes with Dr Haim, and a thorough clinical examination of your pet. In many cases, our consultation fee is comparable to—or even less than—the cost of visiting a traditional veterinary clinic, without the stress of travelling, waiting rooms, or transporting your pet. If your pet has a more complex medical problem and requires additional time, extended consultations can be arranged.
Yes. Puppies and kittens can safely receive their routine vaccinations in the comfort of your home. Every vaccination appointment includes a full health examination to ensure your pet is healthy enough to be vaccinated. We also discuss parasite prevention, nutrition, behaviour, and any questions you may have about caring for your new family member.
Yes. We can collect blood samples during your home visit for a wide range of diagnostic tests, including routine health screening, senior pet checks, and investigations into illnesses such as diabetes, kidney disease, or thyroid disorders. Samples are sent to a trusted veterinary laboratory, and we will contact you promptly to discuss the results and any recommended treatment.
Yes. If medication is needed, we can prescribe and supply many common veterinary medications during your visit. If a particular medication needs to be specially ordered, we’ll arrange this as quickly as possible and advise you on the best way to obtain it.
Yes. Many families choose to have all of their pets examined during the same visit, making it more convenient and often more cost-effective than arranging separate appointments. Please let us know when booking so we can allow enough time for each pet.
Briz-Vet is not an emergency veterinary service. While we can assess and treat many non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries, we are unable to provide the immediate care that critically ill or injured pets may require.
If your pet is experiencing severe breathing difficulties, is severely injured after he/she has been hit by a car, is suffering from major bleeding, collapse, or any other life-threatening condition, every minute matters. The time taken for a mobile veterinarian to travel to your home could delay essential treatment and reduce your pet’s chances of recovery.
In these situations, we strongly recommend taking your pet directly to the nearest emergency veterinary hospital, where a team of veterinarians, nurses, and advanced medical equipment is immediately available.
A standard consultation allows up to 30 minutes , which is sufficient for most routine appointments, including health checks, vaccinations and many medical consultations. If your pet has multiple health concerns or you have several pets to be seen, we can arrange a longer appointment to ensure you receive the time and attention you need.
